I love creating mosaic art, they are very unique and give a super shinny finish. I use a rubi uk, hand porcelain cutter. I find it much easier to use to get appropriate size.

1. The acrylic paints drys way faster! 2. insects landing on the painting and sticking to it. 3. Occasionally pollen can be carried in the wind and land on the wet paint. But it’s awesome to paint outdoors, breathing in fresh air and completing your masterpiece

I like Daler – Rowney System 3 paints, I find the pigment good and they give great coverage. I use the 500ml bottles.

I prime my canvases with gesso, I normally give it 2 coats, 1st coat diagonal, let it dry and the 2nd coat horizonal. Leave to dry over night.
